My name is Carolina Isaias and I’m the Author of Amelia’s Adventures! When I was growing up, I dreamed of becoming a writer and of working with children in some shape or form, I just didn’t know how nor had the confidence to follow my dream. I studied film and broadcasting but could never work with children.

As a child in school, I was bullied and had a horrible time and even though I was a big girl, I never had the courage to overcome my fears and stand up for myself. Years later, I met the man that became my husband, we got married and dreamed of having a family. The more I wanted children, the more I saw beautiful Moms with the cutest children everywhere. I admired them for their blessing of Motherhood. However, as time went by and pregnancy evaded me, I became frustrated, bitter, and depressed. The main culprit of my sorrows, a pituitary tumor, was wreaking havoc in my body! My hormones were completely unbalanced, and my weight was unmanageable. 

I struggled with infertility for nearly 10 years and could not get pregnant no matter what we did. We tried everything under sun, from natural medicine to allopathic treatments. Until one day, out of nowhere, I found the courage to make the decision to have the life-threatening surgery to remove the tumor! It was the scariest decision in my life, but I had a lot of faith & the support of my husband and that’s all I needed.  I knew I could die, but I also knew that with the tumor inside my body, I could never become a Mom. Was life the price I needed to pay? Perhaps, but I knew deep inside that I was meant to be a mother. Thank God the surgery was a success and I’m here to share my story.

After the surgery and the sadness of a miscarriage, I had recurring dreams and signs of the universe telling me to write this book. When I made the decision to write it, I became pregnant again and I finally received the biggest gift of life, Motherhood! My daughter Amelia was born in late 2019, a healthy, loving, and beautiful child. I then knew that I needed to write this book to teach children how to overcome their fears, to stand up for themselves and bring them joy with fun and healthy stories. Thank you for support!
